The titan snorted. “That hasn’t changed.” He poured out another shot and downed it in one easy motion of the wrist. “He still wants us to leave him in the labs.”

“Passive,” Hendrick said, “compared to the lone wolf kamikaze runs he used to pull.”

Gregori slumped, gazing out the window. “So he’d sneak out and try to take out the enemy camp without back-up.”

The scout frowned. “Baldur stopped long before your generation came out of your cans. Who told you?”

“No one.” Sighing, the trooper half-turned and served both men another round. “Nathan pulled the same stunt. Twice.”
